Hey. Um, Luceti guys. I need to talk to all about something. I don't know exactly how to start off, but... You know what? I'll just get out with it.

What's the deal with kids around here? I don't want anything to do with 'em, but at the rate they wind up trying to "be my friend", I'll wind up with a gaggle of 'em following me everywhere in no time! I don't get it. I try being nice. I try being mean. Nothing works in keeping 'em away from me! I'm not fit to do that much babysitting. I'm a bad guy for crying out loud!

I mean... okay, I'm not bad most of the time, and there is one kid I'm kinda lookin' out for. But that's it! That's where I want it to stop. Just one kid! That's my limit. I don't need any more of a headache from the rest of these little gremlins running around when there's a village full of responsible adults and oddly enough teenagers who should be able to handle them much better than me. So what is it? What's the secret, to getting brats to stay away from me?

And okay maybe you find him browsing the item shop for familiar items from video games, or going to watch Vanellope race at the Battle Dome.]

Mana? Nah, that kinda stuff's for them... role-playing games. Video games're special worlds you can make through computers and play like games. You control characters and all. And everyone in the game, we just live up to our code - as we're programmed to act. That's life for us, pretty much.

Yeah, that's true and all, but that doesn't make made scientists any less popular bad guys. And, hey, someone's gotta disturb the peace to keep things interesting.

I'm not really one or the other, but either way that doesn't make a magical babysitter!

Nothing much, kid. We come back, good as new, usually back at the starting point. Doesn't even really hurt. It's no big deal as long as it's within our own games.

Wow. So they got you, too, huh. [Half of the kids he's met are turning out to have just been mallynapped...]

No, kid, I didn't mean that at all! You're - you were swell. It's just... I don't know if I'm cut out for this stuff.

And just tellin' 'em to leave me alone won't be good enough?

Like what happens when you reload a saved game. That's really weird. Do you remember dying at all, or is reloading like starting all over again?

I'm from an arcade. We don't really "do" saves. It's the same story over and over again, and I remember all the thirty years we've been open. The only real problems for us, are if we die in someone else's game, or if we're in our game when it gets unplugged. We - we don't survive those things. [Which makes him a little nervous about being here in Luceti... which he pretty much sees as another game.]
