100m: I'm gonna wreck it! [Action]

[Action (1)]

[This nine-foot tall, barefoot giant of a man finds himself waking up in any old house or apartment, maybe even in the forest. Completely oblivious to the pink wings on his back for now, he instead comes to attention and begins looking around in confusion.]

What? Where's... No! I can't have been taken to another game. I... I was right there! I was gonna save- I... [And his voice goes soft.] Vanellope...

[His eyes are close for a moment, mournfully. When they open, they're filled with hurt anger. And his unusually massive fists are soon put to work... wrecking his immediate surroundings in an angry tantrum, while he shouts loudly. He could keep going until there's nothing left. He will hold himself back from hurting actual people, but he will at least shove aside those who get in his way at emotional heights.]

[Action 2]

[Later on, after being calmed from his tantrum, Ralph trudges through town, defeated and feeling ashamed. First day in a new game and already he's been playing the bad guy. So he makes his way through the item and clothing shops, finding one item in the former which gives him a strong, bittersweet feeling, and then he makes his way out of the village. He only stops at Good Spirits for a round of root beers, trying to keep to himself. That evening, with a sack of bricks over his shoulder, he seeks a nice stump to sleep against, in between bouts of the freezing rain.]

[It's while Ralph's at the bar that Norma spies the newcomer. She's never seen this guy before while she's been working, and obviously makes the assumption that he's flocking in with the new feathers. And, ooooh...not looking all that well, either. He either learned the bad news about Luceti or came from a rough spot from back home. Or both. That's always fun.

Regardless, Norma slides on over with a less prominent smile on her face - but still a smile, she'll always try and cheer people up no matter what - and leans over the big lug.]

Yo, Big Guy, what'll y'take?

[A root beer? Really? She had expected a gorilla like this guy to order something with a bit more of a bite. Her face goes blank for a moment with shock and confusion, but it'd easily remedied with a smile, though a much more restricted one at first.]

Oh, uh...right, sure. Coming right up! [Aaand off she goes, returning pretty quickly with a mug brimming with cold root beer like Ralph asked, still frothy on top, too!] So...you just show up or what? I'm pretty sure I'd have seen someone like you around if you did.

[Since you kinda stick out like a sore thumb, Ralph.]
bubblywishes: (Uh...)

[Norma snickers quietly as well - made a mess? She can only guess how that went, and hey, it's not as uncommon as this guy may expect. People tend to make plenty of messes when they first show up in Luceti. And as she opens her mouth to reassure him there will be no angry mob (m-maybe, she has no idea how bad it was), he goes on. ...Game?]

Uh--...waaait. You said you just got here, right? So you're not really...in the know or whatever?
bubblywishes: (What the fuck is on my head.)

[Action 2]

[Game, game, game. Okay, he...wow. Norma's not even sure what this guy really knows. Whatever it is, it's something else entirely than what she knows or what's possibly written in the Guide. Unless he's applying his own world's crazy logic...then that could be problematic. Either way, so long as he gets the overall concept, then who is she to correct the method of termonology?]

...Right. Game. Can't say I've heard that one before Um. Anyway, yeah, Luceti's pretty much a world that draws in people from other worlds...except you can't get back out. Not unless the Malno-nos send you back. These things [She jabs a thumb over her shoulder, and flaps her canary yellow wings.] are super duper important. Don't hit or bump them because it hurts like craaazy! And if something happens where they both come off it's, well...game over, if you get the idea.

Then there's the draft, the shifts...oh! And the kidnappings. Those're real fun.
bubblywishes: (You don't say...)

[Life meters? Seriously, this guy's got to be from one heck of a crazy world if he talks like that. What even, honestly.]

Jeez, you sure do talk funny, Big Guy. Anyway, I...really don't know. Individual experimentation, I think? Or the Malno-nos just like to mess with us personally, one by one. I actually just came back from one of those myself not too long ago. Thankfully, I got off easy without anything wrong more than feeling crazy tired... [And sleeping in peoples' bathtubs...] But some people've come back as little kids, some as animals, some as other people sometimes! It's pretty nutty, and there's not way to stop the Tin Cans once they're after you, either. Trust me, we've aaaall tried.
bubblywishes: (Stargazer.)

Codes? [Seriously, does this guy just enjoy confusing her or what? Whatever, Norma can get the gist of what he's referring to pretty easily. Though she's got to figure out that termonology one of these days, for real.] I dunno if it's codes or whatever they mess with, but not all of them are fun - you'd think so, but it's seriously not when you're the one it happens to. I've heard stories of people having to do anything someone tells them to do! That could get pre-tty dangerous if you're not careful, y'know.

[Ha....hahaha, oooh poor fool. Norma just mirrors his little smirk with one of her own, though it's laced with all kinds of disbelief and experienced knowledge that no matter what - no matter what - no one's getting out until the Malnosso make it so. Ah, but that does bring up a good point!] Well, that's all right, then...but once you get here, the Malno-nos also cut your power to about half. Doesn't feel like it, does it? Some get it worse than others, unless they train up their skills again here. My ere--uh, my magic was crummy when I first got here. Couldn't even make a decent fire wall...puh. But you sure as heck are welcome to try breaking out. Just...lemme know if you make a scratch in the barrier okay, Big Guy?

[Tapping one of his ginormous arms, yep. SHE WISHES YOU THE BEST, RALPH.]

But whatever, you do your best. No one's been able to wreck, break, burn, pass through, or zip out of the barrier as of yet, so good luck. [She really doesn't mean it in a rude way, it's just...the sad but honest truth.] I mean, there are people trying to find a way out, but nothing yet. I don't think brute force is what it's gonna take... But what it will, even I can't tell you.

Most of us just take what good we can get and live with it. It's the easiest thing to do, and it satisfies a whole lot some of the time. [Friends, family, fond memories, good times...there are always those things that makes Luceti worth it in the long term.]
bubblywishes: (You stay here.)

I wouldn't exactly consider this place a game, as much as it plays out like one, but boring here is like heaven, seriously. [Norma slides into the seat adjacent Ralph. She's been here long enough, might as well get comfortable. And not many other people are in the bar at this time anyway, she can afford to laze off.] It's when things get weird that they really get weird. And not the fun weird, either, most of the time.

Every so often an experiment - or Shift, is what they're calling them now - happens through the whole of Luceti, and none of us are safe...mostly. You can sometimes get lucky and not be effected, but everyone and everything around can be. It's a pain no matter how you look at it! So trust me, boring is best around here.

There y'go! If you look at this place like that, then it actually becomes a whole lot more bearable. I know I made it sound like one heck of a mudpit, but...really, on the whole, it's not all bad. I've met and made friends with people I thought I never would in my whole life. [And got an adopted pirate family to boot. That's a first, and Norma wouldn't trade it for Ralph's weight in gald.]

What's your name anyway, Big Guy? Don't think I ever asked since we started talking. [Though the nickname is stuck, Norma's just curious.]

Uh...right. [Is she supposed to know him or something? Ralph's making it out like he's some kind of bigshot or...or like they met before or something. Weird.] Norma Beatty from...um, Melfes?

[...Yeah, okay, Norma is done with even correcting the game lingo. She'll just take it and roll with it, whatever.]

Yeah, same here, Big Guy. You ever need anything, just stop by and look me up!
